The first week of Muharram is progressing quickly, and we pray you have found lectures and readings to reconnect you to the timeless lessons of Karbala in meaningful and enlightening ways.

Today, we all face our own challenges, but we are also blessed with so much abundance. There is an abundance of information, education and spiritual perspectives at our fingertips to inform us. Because OIL was unable to host its own program for you this year, we have compiled links to some current Muharram lectures available online (see below). No two lectures or lecturers will be the same. Some topics will be more challenging than others. Consider this list as a potential resource for you to freely explore at your own discretion, but not as any form of endorsement.

Also for your consideration: There is an in-person youth event in Toronto at the Afghan-Canadian Islamic Community on Saturday August 6 with three speakers: Sayed Hussain Makke, Shaykh Nuru Mohammed and Dr. Sayed Hadi Qazwini. Click here for more details.
