On Saturday November 26th 2022, the OIL Youth Committee hosted an event in partnership with Royal Game Cafe in Richmond Hill. The event was open to kids and adults alike. The social gathering brought family and friends together to sit down and play a board game or two, talk, and catch up. We had a lot of people come to our event which was super exciting!
There was a large selection of board games, from chess all the way to Clue and Mafia. Did you know that playing board games can reduce stress, and sadness and can make you feel calmer? Board games can also help improve concentration and memory. Playing board games with your friends and family can also be very bonding.
At 6 pm dinner was served! There was a selection of chicken and sausage sandwiches, as well as pizza with fries and soda of their choice. Everyone had a good time eating and socialising. After dinner, guests continued playing board games until the clock ran down.
